RDA Mission
Research Design & Analysis (RDA) is a division of the Office of Research and Innovation. Our mission is to provide statistical and methodological support so that faculty and graduate students can produce high quality, publishable, and fundable research. To facilitate our mission, we meet one-on-one with faculty and graduate students to offer statistical support throughout the research lifecycle.
In addition, we partner with Research Computing Services. Their goal is to assist with developing efficient computational workflows, data visualizations, IT infrastructure and software development support for faculty and staff at Appalachian State University. They also offer consultation services for computer hardware needs.
Manuscript Preparation

We aim to provide thorugh, line-by-line analysis of our clients' manuscripts. Our findings typically make a key difference in the peer review process.

If the PI anticipates using RDA's services for analysis after the grant is funded, we ask that the office be written into the grant. Rates can be discussed during individual consultation.

Our staff have expertise in a range of statistical tests, including ANOVA, regression, linear mixed models (multilevel models), and thematic coding.
